Jonathan Bloom is a British born photographer based in Israel, specializing in portraits, personal projects and social documentary work. Over the last 15 years Bloom has photographed most of Israel's leading figures in the fields of culture, politics & business ranging from President Shimon Peres, the authors Amos Oz & A.B.Yehoshua and the artist Yigal Tomarkin. His documentary work has looked at most of Israel's major social issues: the conflict with the Palestinians, the Israeli- Arab population, the Bedouins, Israel's immigrant population from Russia and Ethiopia, the influx of African refugees, the Jewish settler movement, poverty and religion. Much of this work has been shot as a regular contributor for Israel's leading newspaper, Yedioth Ahoronoth, the Jerusalem Post and the business newspaper, Globes, as well as for overseas publications, the Sunday Times, NRC Handelsblad and the US News & World Report. His personal projects look at a range of subjects: the Holocaust in Israeli education, factory workers, the orthodox Jews of ZAKA who clear up the aftermaths of suicide bombers; as well as the more intimate subjects of his family and friends. The upcoming Street Studio portrait project will be exhibited in the Museum of Israeli Art, Ramat Gan.
In addition, Bloom runs a small studio specializing in corporate portraiture and design work. He has taken portraits for many of Israel's major companies: Bezeq communications, Pelephone & Bank Hapoalim , and leading business personalities: Sheri Arison, Nochi Dankner & Yitshak Tshuva. In the design field, the studio works with architects, interior designers, product designers and Jewellery designers.

יונתן בלום הוא צלם ישראלי ממוצא בריטי המתמחה בצילומי פורטרט, פרויקטים אישיים וצילום תיעודי חברתי. במשך 15 השנים האחרונות בלום צילם את רוב האישיויות הבולטות בישראל בתחומי התרבות, פוליטיקה ועסקים : ביניהם הנשיא שמעון פרס, הסופרים א.ב.יהושוע ועמוס עוז, והאמן יגאל תומרקין. עבודה התיעודית שלו מכסה את רוב הנושאים החברתיים של ישראל: המשבר עם הפלסטינאים, האוכלוסיה הערבית-ישראלית, הבדואים, העולים מברית המועצות ומאתיופיה, הפליטים מאפריקה, המתנחלים , דת ועוני. מרבית העבודה הזאת צולם כצלם קבוע לידיעות אחרונות, ג' רוסלם פוסט וגלובס ולעיתונים בחו" ל - סנדיי טיימס, NRC Handelsblad , והUS News & World Report. בפרויקטים האישיים שלו הוא מתעסק במגוון נושאים: השואה בחינוך הישראלי, פועלי מפעל, מתנדבי ז.ק.א. המנקים את הזירה לאחר פיגועי התאבדות וגם הנושאים האינטימיים יותר של משפחתו וחבריו. פרויקט הפורטרטים שלו " סטודיו רחוב" יוצג במוזיאון לאמנות ישראלית ברמת גן. בנוסף, בלום מנהל סטודיו קטן המתמחה בצילומי פורטרט למגזר העיסקי (corporate portraits) וצילומי עיצוב. הוא צילם פורטרטים להרבה מהחברות הגדולות בארץ, ביניהם בזק, פלאפון ובנק לאומי, וגם לדמויות המרכזיות בשוק הכלכלי, כולל שרי אריסון, נוחי דנקנר ויצחק תשובה. בתחום העיצוב הסטודיו עובד עם ארכיטקטים, מעצבי פנים, מעצבי מוצר ומעצבי תכשיטים.
